For far too long, colonized cuisine has caused poor health conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and obesity in our communities. This, combined with the lack of representation in the agriculture and nutrition system, has been detrimental.
But a sisterhood of empowerment and healing, WANDA women educate, advocate, and innovate to change the trajectory of our communities. WANDA is a digital sisterhood revolution of women leaders, advocates and, entrepreneurs working to strengthen our families, communities, and economies by transforming our food system.
Launched in 2016, WANDA is a Black women-led social justice 501c3 nonprofit organization based in the District of Columbia. We are on a mission to grow a new crop of food sheroes from farm to health across the African Diaspora. We TRANSFORM our lives and our families through #foodfortheculture.
Our existence in the resistance. Join WANDA in the movement.
